My sister just enformed me that she starting a brood. In nine months, I will be Uncle Dave! The only thing wrong with breeding, is that so many people do it when they’re 17 or 18. You’ve reached the maturity level where you’d be a great parent. Go for it! The world could use more intelligently raised children to counterbalance the masses of cretinous bastards with …
man what’s wrong with me. that’s not very nice. (but I guess I mean it.)
Point is – 30-something is the age when people *should* have kids. 20-something is the age when they *should-not* have kids. I would’ve been a terrible parent at 22, far too self-absorbed and ill-tempered. Today I would make an excellent parent. Just ask my cats. And so will you.
Congratulations!!! My sister is due the first of March and I am so excited to be an aunt (Tia) for the first time. Of course, I became a mother at the age of 17 – sorry, Kate. I think we’ve managed just fine, though, and I can’t wait to have a niece to spoil!!!
